Scottish hospitality group The Fusion Group of Companies has added Dunblane B&B Chimes House to its growing portfolio.

The company, led by Alex McKie, has acquired the five-bedroom Victorian townhouse with plans to lease it to Dunblane hotel Old Churches House.

The property, which McKie purchased for £200k, is currently being refurbished and will re-open as a B&B with a self-catering option for up to 10 people, later this month.

McKie said: “We are delighted to have secured this property, which is regarded with great affection by Dunblane locals. It’s location could not be better just yards from Old Churches House, whose management and support teams will now take on the day to day operation of the B&B as a four star business.”

Fusion operates a number of leisure businesses in Scotland - including The Red Brolly Inn at Ballinluig, self catering business, Logierait Lodges in Pitlochry and the most recent acquisition, The Golf Inn in St Andrews, formerly No 1 Golf Place.

McKie said he was always looking for opportunities to expand the business: "I knew that Chimes House would fit in perfectly with my other businesses. We are all about presenting well priced products in great locations which exceeds expectations.”

“I’m delighted to be adding more high quality accommodation in Dunblane which will allow us to attract even more visitors and tourists to stay, shop, eat and drink in Scotland’s smallest city."
