Red Dog Saloon heads North to Liverpool

American barbecue group Red Dog Saloon has confirmed it will launch its first Liverpool restaurant next month.

The opening will be the first site in the North of England for the London-based brand, and sixth overall, following launches in Nottingham and Southampton in the past 18 months.

Red Dog Saloon's owner Tom Brooke is aiming for the group to eventually reach 60 sites across the country by launching a target of five restaurants a year.

“After a nationwide search for suitable locations, Liverpool was chosen as it is a fun, energetic city with a thriving independent scene that perfectly reflects Red Dog Saloon’s personality,” says Brooke.

Red Dog Saloon first opened in Hoxton in 2011, followed by Soho and Clapham.

The brand, which cooks its meat for 18 hours in smokers imported from Oklahoma, serves ribs, buffalo chicken wings, pulled pork and burgers with sides such as fries and mac and cheese.
